My Story
MW Designs
A few years ago, I was distractedly texting while talking to a friend and she said "oh I'm sorry you're so busy catching up on your correspondence." Not only did I stop texting and pay attention to her but got a good laugh out of a comment that sounded like something my grandma would have said.
I always LOVED getting and sending "real mail", which is the only kind you're really aware of as a kid. I loved the USPS and thought it was so cool that every zip code in the whole country had a post office and that this network was something we figured out long before I was corresponding via text. I even did a project on the USPS in grad school, trying to figure out how we could make sending mail cool again. I might have even tried to send it to the postmaster general...
Since he never responded, here I am, embracing my inner 'mail nerd'.
My hope is that my products celebrate the quirks and eccentricities of daily life, featuring images inspired by the people, places, and spaces that bring delight and humor in my own life. From the flower arrangements crafted by my mom to the timeless elegance of my grandmother's hats and eccentric expressions of my dad and father in law, each design is a nostalgic nod to cherished moments.

I got into watercolor during the pandemic, and while I am learning a lot, I love that ultimately, you don't have control. It's a good reminder for us humans! I enjoy the sense of play and curiosity. of the process and hope that at least a few things I paint make the cut.

When it's so much faster and easier to just send a text but so much more meaningful to "catch up on your correspondence" with a card, I hope I can help you do that.
